Legion Helps Host Port Jobs for Vets May 28
The event will be hosted by the New York Shipping Association, the International Longshoremen’s Association and The American Legion's Department of New Jersey.
Veterans interested in attending are encouraged to pre-register by emailing an RSVP to email@example.com. Attendees should bring copies of a valid driver's license, DD-214 (or equivalent) showing type of discharge and resume. Attendees should also be prepared to complete a job application for employment with the Port of New York and New Jersey at the entrance.
On the day of the event, when arriving at Maher Terminal, attendees should follow the direction signs for parking and enter the building on the first floor – the job fair is being held in the Maher Terminal Training Room, located on the first floor of the building. The Maher Terminal Building is located at: 1210 Corbin St., Elizabeth, NJ 07201.
