Dept. Commander Honors Mahopac Post

MAHOPAC -- New York State American Legion Commander Kenneth Governor brought a message of "Service First" to the Legion Family in the Putnam County Thursday, Nov. 14, and honored Mahopac American Legion Post 1080 for its efforts to provide tornado relief.
Governor presented the Department Commander's Award of Excellence to Mahopac Post 1080, noting post members raised funds and supplies, and delivered them to tornado-struck Joplin, MO.

"Service First" is about reinvigorating the core mission to serve men and women in uniform, veterans and families, community and nation, Governor said during dinner at Mahopac Post 1080.
